Sound Design - the acoustic finishing touch for your project!

Sound design usually starts at the end of an audio production chain and means the acoustic optimization of a video or film. In contrast to the composition, the background here is not with music, but with appropriate sounds and "Atmos".

In this last production step (also called post-production), sound effects (natural or artificial SFX) are used to add sound to animations/movements, underline the right mood and create more atmosphere or depth.

Without the really terrific sound effects by Ben Burtt STARWARS, for example, would never have become such a success. Used discreetly, sound design is the "icing on the cake" for an all-round successful media production.
